What was the first instrument you fell in love with?

The only instrument I can play is the guitar and the love for the instrument stems back to being gifted Guitar Hero 2 on the Xbox 360 when I was younger.

What kind of music did you love when you were younger?

Like most people it was mainly the music that my parents listened to so a lot of 90s artists as well as the likes of The Beatles, Blondie, and T-Rex.

What was the first album you remember owning?

The album that led to me starting the band was actually ‘Live for the Moment’ by The Sherlocks. This was the first album I ever purchased and we have since gone on to support them which was an amazing full circle moment.

What is the one song you wished you could have written yourself?

Life on Mars – David Bowie

Do you have any habits or rituals you go through when trying to write new music?

The big one for me is that once I think a song is finished I will play it in front of a mirror as if I am live at Wembley. If it doesn’t feel right when performing solely to myself then I know there is more work to be done before handing it over to the rest of the band.

Who are your favourite artists you have found yourself listening to at the moment?

The four that I am continually listening to are: The Last Dinner Party, The K’s, Chappaqua Wrestling and Almost Monday.

If you could open a show for anyone in the world, who would it be?

This answer would vary drastically for each member in the band but for me, it would have to be The Killers!

What do you find is the most rewarding part about being a musician?

It has to be just seeing the audience smile and enjoying themselves when at our shows! It doesn’t matter if it's one person or thousands but just knowing our music has lightened up someone’s day is really special.

And what is the most frustrating part?

Finding car parks close to the venues we perform at.

And what is the best piece of advice you have received as a musician?

Simply, ‘You’ll never make it if you stop’.
