Mobvibe - 'Hello!'

7/10

After their breakthrough debut EP 'The Nusixties Invasion Pt. 1' in 2019, Greek outfit Mobvibe have showcased themselves as one of the more distinctive names doing the rounds. While largely influenced by the vibrant sound of 60s pop-rock, their approach to production has always been very forward-thinking, creating this heady blend of old and new that always pursues an original direction. And with plenty of praise coming in for their run of releases recently, they are back with their joyous sophomore EP 'Hello!', a release that continues those lofty ideals once again.

Matching the same glossy vibe their initial collection offered up, 'Hello!' is a wonderfully warm and alluring return for them. Capturing more of those bright and uplifting textures they have earned a strong reputation for over the years, this new four-track offering finds them in fine form once again. Whether it is the psych-pop-infused title-track or the progressive 'Start The Feeling', there seems to be plenty of fresh and dynamic innovative going on at every turn here.

It has certainly been a varied and enigmatic journey for them up until now, but 'Hello!' shows they are still brimming with plenty of captivating ideas in which to take their latest endeavour. Jovial and uplifting from beginning to end, Mobvibe continue to push their vibrant sound as far as it will go here.
