Thurston Moore unveils new single 'Cease Fire'

Recorded in London last year with bassist Deb Googe, guitarist James Sedwards and guest drummer Jem Doulton, Thurston Moore has revealed a brand new single, aimed at tackling violence throughout the world.

The anti-gun song 'Cease Fire' will be a stand-alone single from the former Sonic Youth frontman, and has been released from today via Caroline International.

Speaking about the track, Moore said, “Guns are designed to kill and we, as non-violent human beings, are against the killing of any person or animal. The song is also about the power of love, in all its freedom of choice. A power that no gun can extinguish as love will rule always. Melt down your guns and kiss your neighbour.”
