Timothy Jaromir - 'Man Atlas'

8/10

Throughout the last decade, Swiss singer-songwriter Timothy Jaromir has always been one to adopt a more lovelorn aesthetic than many of his peers. Crafting this beautifully humbled array of stripped-back grooves throughout his illustrious career, his tenure to date has been this wildly exploitative one, always cultivating something new in which to explore. And after breaking his three-year hiatus with some vibrant delights earlier this year, he is now looking to cement this era within his sound with his reflective new EP 'Man Atlas', a release brimming with warmth and allure from start to finish.

While just four tracks in length, 'Man Atlas' manages to pack plenty of fresh and immersive innovation into its shortened runtime. Recorded live to tape in order to project this wonderfully organic texture to it, his latest EP finds him in a brilliantly passionate guise, one that looks to harness some of his more captivating ideas to date. With the previously unveiled gems 'Rebound' and 'Off The Grid' anchoring the EP's more intimate moments, he is certainly looking to pull on our heartstrings throughout this new offering.

Clearly taking a break from releasing new music in recent years has allowed him to take stock of his place on the scene, giving 'Man Atlas' this rich and nurturing appeal at every turn. Timothy Jaromir remains a strong and confident addition to the new music landscape, and we hope he doesn't disappear from us for as long this time.
