Yukimi collaborates with Lianne La Havas on 'Stream Of Consciousness'

Celebrated vocalist and Little Dragon co-founder Yukimi continues her solo journey with the release of 'Stream of Consciousness', featuring acclaimed singer-songwriter Lianne La Havas. The deeply introspective and tender track is the latest offering from her forthcoming debut album, ‘For You’, set for release on the 28th March via Ninja Tune.

Marking the first time Yukimi has written and created music with another woman, the collaboration allowed her to fully embrace and explore feminine energy. Together, Yukimi and La Havas craft a track that honours emotional strength and honesty, sharing heartfelt wishes for their future selves. The song’s lyrics balance hope and self-doubt, offering an intimate reflection on growth and legacy, with the pair ultimately expressing a shared desire to “make [their mothers] proud.”

Speaking about the collaboration, Yukimi shares, “Lianne came in like a force of nature. We really boosted and inspired each other, which was such a beautiful thing.”

'For You' also includes previously released singles 'Sad Makeup', a meditation on the effort to suppress sadness; 'Winter Is Not Dead', inspired by Scandinavia’s long, dark winters; and the self-empowering debut solo track 'Break Me Down', which was also co-created with Lianne La Havas and Little Dragon bandmate Erik Bodin.
