Seattle-based multi-platinum artist and producer SYML continues to build anticipation for his upcoming album ‘Nobody Lives Here’, set for release on the 4th April, with his latest single 'Carry No Thing'.
Described by SYML as an “apocalyptic love song,” the track explores the idea that even in the face of chaos and destruction, love remains the one thing we take with us.
“The intangible force of love is what we take with us as we move through the chaos,” SYML explains. “There’s a strange beauty in some of the ways we imagine the world ending. I think it might be that it’s something we would all experience equally at the same time. Whether we run for the hills or submit, we only have the love for each other as the world burns around us.”
'Carry No Thing' mirrors this tension between devastation and devotion, weaving haunting melodies with cinematic, otherworldly production. The vocals, raw and intimate, feel like a whispered confession amidst the chaos, as the song swells into a broad, soaring finale. Listen to it in the player below.
